The first road route starts in Skradin, crosses the bridge over the Krka river, and climbs on a winding road up to the plateau above the Skradinski Buk cascades. It passes through several small villages and then descends to the canyon of the Čikola river and back to the Krka canyon.

The route is circular and passes through the area which had a big importance through the Croatian history. It covers 58.8 kilometers and climbs 746 meters. Signs along the route are blue with white arrows and “R – 1” marks. Here you can read some rules which need to be obeyed while cycling.

The beautiful karst Krka river springs near Knin, under the Topoljski slap waterfall, and after flowing 72.5 km, drains into the Adriatic Sea at Šibenik. The Krka River flows through the Dalmatian region, in the area of Šibenik-Knin County, between the plateau of the Čikola River and the Dalmatian Zagora region.
