Paklenica Hiking – Mountain Traveller Croatia
About hiking routes in Paklenica
Due to its unique natural features, magnificent forests and extraordinary geomorphologic structures, the area of Velika and Mala Paklenica was proclaimed a national park in 1949. This beautiful natural wonder is often called „One of The Last European Wilderness“ and „The center of endemism“ of this part of Europe.
Hiking is the only way to truly get to know Paklenica. The National Park area contains 150-200 km of trails and paths, different in length and difficulty. Some of those are perfect tourist trails – like those leading from Velika Paklenica canyon to Manita cave, Lugarnica foresters house or Paklenica Mountain hut. And on the other side are real mountaineering paths, like those leading to the highest peaks of the Velebit Mountain.
Embark on a half/one/multi day hike with local expert guides from Mountain Traveller Croatia and get closer to the local people and their land.
